I eagerly await every podcast, but this is one of my favorites. The ideas you shared just hit home for me, and I am planning to use the tool you shared for more than just headlines! Thanks for such wonderful content – and your fabulous style for making these ideas so clear and compelling.
Thanks Beca! The Headline Shaker Maker is a bit of a deceptive name because you can use this method to unearth rocking selling points to use throughout your content. Always a pleasure to have you listen in and share your thoughts!
Hi Amy,
Really enjoyed the podcast, as usual! I’m struggling to find any templates that apply for the new landing pages I’m building for our website, so I’d like to take you up on your offer for help! The landing page is for our mobile app development service, in a specific area of the country. The key elements I’ve come up with are “experience”, “very high quality”, that we provide the “complete package”, we offer “managed delivery” and that our apps help you to “stand out” from the competition. I’d be really grateful for any advice, and thanks again for the all of the super useful podcasts!
Hi Chris!
Thanks for commenting, and for bringing your challenge to the table. 😉 It’s great that you’ve taken time to plot out your key selling points, I’m going to ask you to take it to the next step… what do you mean specifically?
This is where you can crack copywriting gold. For example – how much experience do you have? Is this based on how long you’ve worked on something, or the breadth and depth of projects / clients you’ve had?
The same with high-quality. What makes what you have high-quality? Do you take steps to do processes other competitors don’t do?
I’d break down all those terms into specifics, and then use those specifics as the basis for your headline. For example:
“With X happy customers / X years of experience we design, develop and market your mobile app… you get more eyes on your business”
Would love to know more – let me know how you get on and thanks for listening!
